There are three main themes to this release: developer productivity, designer-developer workflow, and data-centric application development. The new skinning and component architecture, named Spark provides a much more expressive mechanism for developers and designers to work together on the appearance of their Flex applications. FXG has been introduced to add a powerful graphics format for exchanging assets between the different Adobe design and development tools. Lastly, the Flash Builder 4 IDE has added a network monitor, data-centric development, unit testing integration, code generation, Flex themes, and ASDoc support for rapidly building enterprise develop cross-platform rich Internet applications.
